Locate your file

On your computer:

Create a Google sitemap in XML from a standard directory listing generated by ls -lR. The sitemap XML is generated from all .htm, .html and .php file entries found in the listing, and automatically ignores irrelevant files based on their extension. To get the file you should upload, go to your local web directory, and run ls -lR > myfile.txt. Then use the browse button on this form to select myfile.txt, and hit convert. A file in the Google Sitemap format will now be downloaded to your computer, and you can now put this onto your web server, and register the sitemap file with Google. Note for Windows users: you can get a windows version of the necessary ls program from CoreUtils for Windows
